The Post-Truth Business
My first book went to No1 in the ‘Business Bestseller’ charts.
Its key focus related to ‘reputation capital’ from the perspectives of authenticity, ethics, privacy, and disinformation.
I described how these issues are impacted in a distrusting world, and the actions that organisations might consider taking as a result.
I’ll write an updated version, and meanwhile the current version will be withdrawn from the market.
Influencers & Revolutionaries
My second book “Influencers & Revolutionaries” was shortlisted for the ‘Business Book of the Year’ Awards.
Focusing on multi-sector H1/2/3 innovation, it describes exciting approaches taken by dynamic organisations regarding emerging trends and concept development.
It naturally links to my speeches on the subject, which focus on leading-edge thinking and best-practice., and my ongoing work with The Copenhagen Institute for Futures Studies.
The Future 100
Every year, VML Intelligence produce what is often accepted as the leading annual trends report in the business.
Their last edition examined key trends across 14 countries, and I was pleased to be quoted in it, having been interviewed for my 'expert views' for the first issue that they covered: ‘Reality Shifting’ regarding manifesting towards an alternative / desired reality.
I also spoke about key issues inc trust, disinformation, privacy, and overall approaches to futures thinking. Each of which relate to my books, speeches and ongoing research…
Here’s a link to their excellent report:
L’OSMONAUTA
‘Strategic Foresight in an Uncertain World’
The latest issue of the superb magazine L’Osmonauta is out c/o the dynamic OSMO (based in beautiful Brescia, Italy) and I’m delighted to be featured in it.
In the interview, I give my views on a range of subjects including how companies can seize opportunities emerging from social and technological change, and the need for a Chief Political Officer when politics and business are inseparable, risks are interconnected & systemic, and anticipatory leaders need dynamic support...
Compass magazine c/o Association of Professional Futurists
Compass is the official magazine of the Assoc of Professional Futurists, an excellent publication which is intended to “enhance the knowledge and insights of APF members”. I’ve enjoyed both writing for and indeed being quoted in it - the the latest issue features a kind recommendation about me from the editor.
Some very kind quotes about my books…
Below this section, you can see a selection of photos of my books taken in various dynamic locations.
These include the biggest bookstore in Europe, along with images taken at festivals, train stations and airports, etc.
Have to say I was really proud to see my books in the amazing bookshop at the Tate Modern, the world’s most popular art gallery!
(I’ve also written for lifestyle mags e.g. Dazed, Huck, Sleaze & The Face, and business titles inc Brand Strategy, Contagious, Marketing & Viewpoint).
The Post-Truth Business (US update)
It was a nice surprise to find that ‘The Post-Truth Business’ has been given another push in North America c/o Barnes & Noble.
(Have to say that the new cover of their new version reminds me of Stranger Things).
As the promotional info says “This is a compelling guide through the maze of misinformation impacting organisational and citizen trust structured around three key themes: the emergence of post-truth in society, its implications for business operations and communication, and effective tactics for companies to thrive despite these challenges. It’s a concise roadmap for navigating the challenges of the post-truth era”.
Nicely put!
